Printing on corrugated cardboards

Series 50 51 52 53

Corrugated board ink series:

50- FORZA-COR Ink Series – designed for printing on white cardboard. It has good abrasion resistance and minimal consumption during use.

51- FORZA-COR Ink Series – universal series of inks that can be used for printing both white and brown corrugated cardboard. It contains a filler that allows you to prime the color of brown cardboard and contributes to a more uniform application of paint on the surface of both white and brown liners. The inks of this series are often used in printing on corrugated cardboard. They have good resistance to dry abrasion and low consumption.

52- FORZA-COR Ink Series – used for printing on brown cardboard. It has a high filler content, which provides excellent hiding power and the ability (compared to other series) to print pale, bright and pastel colors

even on a brown liner. The 52nd series of FORZA-COR inks is used for printing on brown cardboard. It has a high filler content, which provides excellent covering strength and the ability (compared to other series) to print bright and pastel colors even on a brown liner. Due to the high filler content, it is less resistant to abrasion than other series.

53- FORZA-COR Ink Series – quick-drying series of inks. Designed for printing on both white and brown cardboard. Provides faster drying of paint and its fastening. It can be used when imposing colors one on another and printing with a second, third layer, if conventional series do not provide sufficient drying speed. It has excellent abrasion resistance and is economical to use.

Some nuances of printing on corrugated board

Traditionally, water-based flexographic inks have been used for printing on corrugated board. As a rule, printing simple designs with one or two colors on corrugated cardboard is not difficult, regardless of what kind of cardboard is used on the front layer – be it white, brown pulp or recycled cardboard.

There are slight nuances when printing with a doctor blade or ductor section.

The doctor blade section ensures the uniformity of the ink layer and the possibility of better/clearer printing of the screen and design in general. However,  the ductor sections have their advantages because with this section design it is possible to adjust the ink layer by the degree of pressure of the ductor roller and the printing speed. The higher the speed on the ductor type line, the bigger the ink transfer. This makes it possible to print a rich solid.

Difficulties in printing mainly arise when applying two, three or more layers of ink, one on top of the other, or where both a screen and a solid are present on the same printing plate. Here it is important to choose the right series of inks and the sequence of their application, the correct use and control of ink during the printing process, and possibly correct some settings of the printing line.

even on a brown liner. The 52 series of FORZA-COR inks is used for printing on brown cardboard. It has a high filler content, which provides excellent hiding power and the ability (compared to other series) to print pale, bright and pastel colors even on a brown liner. Due to the high filler content, it is less resistant to abrasion than other series.
