Printing on non-woven material

Series 60

60- series of inks

This ink series is designed for printing on non-woven material. Commonly used for printing bags made of non-woven material, as well as tablecloths made of non-woven fabric When printing tablecloths, in combination with a special top coat, it is water-resistant and grease-resistant, and also approved for direct contact with food.

Some nuances of printing on nonwoven materials

Any water-based flexographic ink can be applied to nonwoven fabric using the flexo method, as it is easy to apply. the material itself, although it does not absorb water, has sufficient porosity. In fact, the ink falls into the fibers, both adhesive and, to a greater extent, mechanical fixation of the ink between the fibers of the nonwoven material occurs.

However, sometimes it can be difficult to achieve the desired color strength due to "fall through" inks between fibers. As a rule, there are no problems when printing on bags. A more interesting situation with the subsequent use of printed tablecloths. If the ink does not have water resistance or resistance to fats, then when water or fat gets on it, the pattern begins to float, staining hands and other objects on the tablecloth with ink. In addition, when using a tablecloth, food, bread, vegetables are often placed on it, providing direct contact with food, and, therefore, the inks used for printing a tablecloth must have the necessary permission to contact with food. It is unlikely that any of us will want to eat food that has lain on paint, from which harmful substances can migrate into food.

Series 60  with Special Topcoat is specially designed for this application, the topcoat is approved for direct food contact and has good greese, oil and water resistance.
